Thanks for the comment! I firmly believe that to get what you want, you have to change it for yourself. Accomplishments in themselves are a signal of a change. It's so central to every success I've ever had that I felt like writing about it!
Cheers!

Michel,

Great read. Change is goooood. One of the helpful things I find that helps with change in my environment is planning. Psychologically you have to be ready to work your plan. write it down, if it seems overwhelming break it down into even more parts..but keep to the task and keep an open dialogue - collaboration is your competitive advantage. I too believe "positive change in your environment is likely critical to your continued success both as a person and for the company you work for" I think of a one of my favorite quotes to stay on task and make an impact from Collateral (2004):

Vincent: Okay, look, here's the deal. Man, you were gonna drive me around tonight, never be the wiser, but El Gordo got in front of a window, did his high dive, we're into Plan B. Still breathing? Now we gotta make the best of it, improvise, adapt to the environment, Darwin, sh*t happens, I Ching, whatever man, we gotta roll with it.
Max: I Ching? What are you talking about, man? You threw a man out of a window.
Vincent: I didn't throw him. He *fell*
Max: Well what did he do to you?
Vincent: What?
Max: What did he do to *you*?
Vincent: Nothing. I only met him tonight.
Max: You just met him once and you killed him like that?
Vincent: What? I should only kill people after I get to know them?
